Help & FAQ

Everything you need to know about using NikahNoor — matching, privacy, verification, and safety.

1 About NikahNoor

NikahNoor is a free, privacy-first Muslim matrimonial platform built for the Pakistani community worldwide. We help practising Muslims find a serious partner for nikah — with dignity, respect, and family values at the centre.

Unlike casual dating apps, NikahNoor is designed for marriage-minded individuals. You can filter by sect, caste, practice level, location, and more — so matches feel meaningful from the start.

Photos can stay blurred until both of you accept interest. Verification helps families trust that profiles are genuine. Messaging opens only after a mutual match.

2 How it works

1. Create your profile — Complete the onboarding steps: basic info, location, faith, education, photos, and preferences.

2. Discover & Explore — Browse opposite-gender profiles. Send interest to people you like, or pass.

3. Match — When both of you accept interest, you become a match and can message each other.

4. Chat with respect — Keep conversations sincere and appropriate. Involve family when things become serious.

5. Get verified (recommended) — Submit your ID for a trusted badge. Verified members usually receive more quality responses.

3 Frequently asked questions

When you send interest to someone and they accept (or they send interest and you accept), you become a match. Only then can you message each other. If either person passes or declines, there is no match.

If you enable this privacy setting, other users see a heavily blurred version of your photos until you both accept interest and become a match. Clear photos are never sent to their browser before that. You can change this anytime in Edit Profile.

Go to Get Verified, submit your mobile number and a clear photo of your government ID (front and back). A selfie is optional but helpful. Our team reviews requests within 24–48 hours. Your documents stay private and are only used for identity checks.

In a chat, open the menu (⋯) and choose Report or Block. You can also report inappropriate behaviour from a profile. We review reports and may suspend accounts that break our rules.

Photos are watermarked on upload. With “blur until match”, clear images are not sent until you match. Verification documents are stored privately and only accessible to authorised admins. We do not sell your personal data.

Be sincere and specific: your values, faith, family outlook, lifestyle, and what you seek in a spouse. Avoid generic lines. A clear bio (at least 40 characters) helps the right people respond. You can use ready-made examples on the onboarding / edit profile page.
